Our Infectious Disease Program, directed by Dr. Erina Kunwar, MD, targets the identification, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. At Atlas Healthcare at Maywood, we understand the impact that infectious diseases can have on your health and daily life. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive care through our Infectious Disease Program. Services include designing effective care and treatment plans for skilled nursing patients with a range of ailments and educating the facility’s care team members on infectious diseases and proper protocols.
Meet Our Infectious Disease Specialist:
Dr. De La Rosa
Dr. De La Rosa received his medical degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Englewood Hospital, serving as chief resident and receiving several teaching and leadership awards. He completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-New Jersey Medical School. His clinical interests include HIV infection, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Prevention, orthopedic infections, clinical microbiology, and the treatment of multi-drug-resistant bacteria.
